Brothers and sisters, truck drivers!
Look at these 10 truckloads of cash!
This is what 20 billion dollars looks like: 200 tons of cash in hundred-dollar bills!
In my opinion, that is roughly how much two million American trucks with dry van trailers lose every year because of the lack of quality information about weight.
I do not believe that you will do this. I do not believe that all of you will consciously and voluntarily give up a decent reward for professional load control and take risks for free. At least I did not sign any obligation to do this important work for free.
In this outdated industry, for some reason, there was an unwritten principle: whoever determines the weight takes the carriers' money. Remember it, so that you understand the rules of this unfair, cruel game, which sometimes, unfortunately, even ends in tragedy for someone.
All that was left for you was the hard, unpaid and responsible work of sliding the tandems. No one has ever taught you how to use your PSI gauges to know everything about the weight of the truck, the trailer and the cargo.
No equipment. Extra risks of winter accidents because of imbalance. Overweight fines. Losses of time and fuel because of the lack of quality information. This is the sad reality of trucking today.
Meanwhile, certified scales write in their brochures that you should weigh on every trip.
It is unrealistic to weigh every day without need.
Time to wake up! Drivers and carriers need new, more effective solutions.
Sorry for being blunt, but all of us were like blind kittens before the drivers' startup Mouse Scale appeared.
Even though the vast majority of American trailers still have no equipment at all, we have a real chance to change everything in favor of drivers and carriers, using the sensors you already have or inexpensive pressure gauges. From the point of view of our experience, the most effective and promising drivers' solution for digitization now is, and will be, the use of a digital tire pressure gauge with high resolution.
The stronger mathematical model of the drivers' startup Mouse Scale will make it possible to effectively digitize the outdated load-control industry.
We will simply help you control all seven variable parameters of the truck and the trailer, including the fuel level and the position of the fifth wheel.
This is a move to a higher level of load control. Not only the weight of the axles standing on the ground, but all the important information about the parameters of the cargo in the trailer.
Count for yourself!
You get scale receipts, plus or minus once a week. Add a little more for the cost of fuel.
An optimal load balance can save a few percent of fuel by reducing the rolling resistance of the wheels. Let's say another 300 gallons a year.
I think you did not have the opportunity to control the weight of the cargo after loading, and that is why you do not notice that sometimes you carry an extra ton for free. For me, this turned up about once every two months.
So let's agree for the future that carrying an extra ton for a day on the road should cost at least 100 dollars. Brokers usually pay extra without problems when they feel the professional control of the kings of the road.
I think you will agree that about 10% of trips with dry van trailers go half-empty.
There is still no normal program for road sharing, because there was not enough information about the weight parameters of the cargo in the trailer. Mouse Scale has these results. Now all we need is a quality program and an army of the kings of the American roads.
And the cherry on top: empty miles, which carriers are not paid for. With road sharing, empty runs can decrease by expanding the information network to every truck. With Uber cars, this worked successfully, and they reduced such distances. For trucks, we counted modestly: let it be 50 miles a week.
Together, all these losses can reach about 10 thousand dollars a year per truck.
And this is not the limit. Perhaps, over time, a safe balance will help reduce the risks of dangerous accidents and the price of your insurance. A moderate reduction of the distance between the truck and the trailer will reduce aerodynamic drag, and knowing the distribution of fuel weight between the axles lets you fill up more fully at cheaper fuel stations.
Plus, you will be able to detect incorrect loading in time and fix mistakes right on the spot, without extra trips to truck stops.
I do not believe that you will refuse such an opportunity for digitization and control, if this cool app costs only one dollar a month. We want you to become free.
This is not a marketing trap. This is a way out of captivity for smart drivers, with the help of new, powerful truck mathematics.
Part of the saved money can logically be yours! Because you will know everything about the weight of your truck, trailer and cargo.
We even filed a petition with the DOT and the U.S. Department of Labor, because you deserve a decent reward for professional load control and for ensuring a safe balance.
My boss agreed to pay me an extra 30% of the resource savings. That is why I consider him a smart, reasonable person who sees no need to throw money to the wind.
Mouse Scale is not only about money. It is about progress and common sense, reducing the risks of deadly jackknifes and cutting harmful exhaust emissions.
Why does this app cost only one dollar a month, if it is so good?
Because it is a smart calculator, not the yoke of a new slave owner. We give a seed of knowledge so that drivers get freedom and a decent reward, and reduce the risks of deadly accidents.
The app was created without outside financial help by one non-greedy Ukrainian truck driver who loved the exact sciences and spent 20 years behind the wheel of an American truck.
And now imagine what else we will be able to do if 100,000 drivers chip in a dollar a month for the development of road sharing, or buy a license for the Mouse Scale patent. With such an army of the kings of the roads, we can track the movement of half-empty trucks.
We will try to keep the price low, because we want to cover almost all trucks, trailers, languages and countries, for the benefit of drivers.
Mouse Scale is a seed of knowledge that will surely sprout in the next few years, because onboard computers with an extended periphery of sensors are on the way, and they need more information about the weight of the truck, the trailer and the cargo. And you are free people, the kings of the American roads. And now you will be able to bring order to this outdated industry, to protect people's lives on the roads and take better care of the ecology of the planet.
In conclusion, I guarantee you that the portraits of Benjamin Franklin on hundred-dollar bills will please you more in your wallet than the color photos of trucks on scale receipts!
But if you deny this, I will be forced to exchange my entire collection of such cards for your hundred-dollar bills!
First come, first served! The number of cards is limited. Get in line!
If you have truck driver friends and you want to share the interesting ideas of Mouse Scale with them, just send them this video. The app has a free trial and costs a dollar a month. There are two versions, Light and Pro. Light is very easy to calibrate with one weighing. It is about axle weights and load balance. The more complex Pro version has all the same and more than two dozen other important results. The prices are the same. Let's digitize our trucks and all together try to save 10 truckloads of cash.
